About Mayah

Mayah is a young competitive swimmer and a member of the Haitian National Swim Team. She learned to swim at the age of two and quickly developed a love for the water. At just six years old, she joined her first competitive recreational swim team and impressed her coaches and parents with her beautiful butterfly stroke. Mayah distinguished herself among her peers and transitioned to club competitive swimming by age nine. She dedicates herself wholeheartedly to practice sessions, driven by her passion for the sport and the water. At her club, Mayah demonstrates leadership through mentoring younger swimmers, who appreciate her encouraging words, kindness, and firm guidance.

Outside of swimming, Mayah enjoys spending time in the kitchen baking to satisfy her sweet tooth and express her artistic side. She is also an enthusiastic gamer, engaging in friendly competition with friends online.

Mayah has always dreamed of representing Haiti at the highest levels of swimming. With parents born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she proudly competes under Haiti's flag, pursuing her greatest passion. In December 2023, she achieved her dream by joining the Haitian National Swim Team, aiming to inspire other young boys and girls of Haitian heritage.

Let’s dare to dream!
